ABOUT OUR MEETINGS AND EVENTS
The Carteret County GOP Executive Committee, according to Article III of the Plan of Organization is made up of the County Chairman, 1st Vice-Chairman, 2nd Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Immediate Past Chairman, Presidents of Carteret County Republican Affiliated Clubs, County residents who hold partisan elective county office, Precinct Chairmen, Precinct Vice-Chairmen, Chairmen of Standing Committees, County Finance Chairman, and At-large members elected at the County Convention. This committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Republican County HQ (list address). Meetings are open to the public. Non-members may not vote on issues discussed. Individuals must contact the Part Chair and request to speak.
Article III of the Plan of Organization states that the Executive Committee “shall cooperate with the District and State Committees in all elections and Party activities; shall encourage qualified candidates for office within the County; shall adopt a budget; shall recommend nominees to the State Chairman for appointments for County Board of Election; and shall have active management of Party affairs within the County. It shall approve a Finance Committee and an Auditing Committee of not less than three members each and may approve such other committees as may be deemed necessary. The County Chairman and Vice-Chairman shall be ex-officio members of all committees doing business on behalf of the Carteret County Republican Party.”
The Carteret County GOP Executive Board is made up of The Chairman of the County Chapter, the 1st Vice-Chairman, 2nd Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary, Committee chairmen and other individuals deemed important to conducting the business of the chapter.This Board meets the 4th Tuesday of each month. The purpose of this Board is to carry out the business of the party in between Executive Committee Meetings.
Carteret County GOP Committees meet as needed and such meetings are scheduled by the chairman of that committee.

We have a lively discussion group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 10:15am at the CCGOP Headquarters. All county Republicans are welcome.

FUND RAISING EVENTS
As you can imagine, our CC GOP Chapter needs money to accomplish our goals. Fundraising events are held annually. Monies raised from these campaigns allow the Party to maintain our headquarters office space and to assist local, state and federal candidates during general elections.
The “Building Fund Campaign”. Funds raised during this campaign are used to pay monthly expenses associated with operating the GOP Heaquarters, e.g. rent, electricity, telephone, wi-fi, office supplies, etc. Headquarters is staffed solely by volunteers who donate their time and energy to be available for fellow Carteret County conservatives. This campaign accepts personal donations, as well as donations from local businesses who wish to support our local Republican Party. The campaign kicks off at the beginning of each year and wraps up in May. Of course, donations to the Building Fund are always accepted and welcomed.
The “Executive Committee Fund Campaign”. Funds raised are used o pay for expenses such as: donations to Republican candidates (local, state and federal), County Convention expenses, printing, advertisements, Web site maintenance, etc. This fundraiser is traditionally a Revers Raffle. Three hundred tickets are printed and sold for $100 each, for a chance to win $5000.00 – last person standing wins! Each ticket allows entry for two people. This is a fun event usually held on a Sunday afternoon sometime in September or October at the Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort ( http://www.htpresort.com/ ) in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. This beautiful campground resort has a large covered gathering place that is perfect for our event.Parking is offsite, but our capable volunteers provide golf cart transportation to the event. In the unlikely event that tickets still available, you can purchase them onsite. Tickets may be purchased from any member of the CCGOP Executive Committee. The 2018 Reverse Raffle will be Sunday, October 28, at the Holiday Trav-L-Park. Ticket sales begin the first week of July and continue until sold out.
