“Break the Strangle Hold” |
(Cont)
McCrory is also a "hands on leader" with 12 years experience as
the mayor in Charlotte, and again he is the "what we need in
Raleigh" as the next governor.
Sen. Smith has been running for over a year and Mayor McCrory is
just getting started, but with a bang. A long-time Reagan
Republican and well-known conservative is going to run Pat
McCory's campaign. Jack Hawke, known more recently as the top
man at the Raleigh conservative think tank Civitas, will be run
the campaign for the 12-year mayor of Charlotte. Jack Hawke is
the former chairman of the North Carolina GOP. So look for a
great and spirited race.
Both Sen. Smith and Mayor McCrory are staunch conservatives, and it
would be very wise for Republicans to give them both close study
between now and the May primary. The choice will be tough, but
it's nice to know we have two men that stand far above either
Moore or Perdue. Finally, maybe we can break the strangle hold
on the governor's office and state House held by the corrupt
Democrats. We have a real opportunity to regain control of the
reins of the moral, fiscal, educational and judicial elements of
North Carolina's government. Oh yeah, we might even get to see
good roads and lower taxes again!
